Sanrio's beloved pastel-colored duo, Little Twin Stars, are getting an underwater makeover this Christmas, with a special collaboration at Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa in Tokyo.

Running from November 13 to December 25, 2026, Little Twin Stars AQUARIUM will transform the popular urban aquarium into a dreamy Christmas wonderland inspired by Kiki and Lala. The event also celebrates the characters' 50th anniversary, which fell in 2025.

Visitors will be welcomed into the Twinkle Cloud Room, a photogenic entrance featuring a pink house, a digitally created starry sky, and Christmas decorations. The aquarium's fish displays will also take on the characters' signature blue and pink colors, with pale blue damselfish and vibrant pink-purple queen anthias among the featured species.

Further inside, four themed aquarium areas will showcase marine life through the world of Little Twin Stars. One particularly magical-sounding feature is a night-sky-inspired display where visitors can touch illustrated constellations and watch the underwater scene respond. There will also be jellyfish exhibits illuminated in soft blue and pink lighting.

The aquarium's signature dolphin performance will receive a special Christmas-themed version called Twinkle Christmas, adding another element to the seasonal experience. Further details of the collaboration are expected to be announced in early November.

The event runs daily from 10am to 8pm, with last admission at 7pm. Tickets are 2,500 JPY for adults, 1,300 JPY for elementary and junior high school students, and 800 JPY for children aged three and over.
