SEGA fans in Osaka are getting their own flagship destination this autumn, with SEGA STORE OSAKA set to open at Shinsaibashi PARCO on October 2.
The new store will be SEGA's first permanent flagship location in the Kansai region, following the opening of SEGA STORE TOKYO in Shibuya in July 2025. Now, fans visiting Osaka will have their own place to dive into more than 65 years of SEGA's gaming and entertainment history.
Located on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO's POP CULTURE SHINSAIBASHI, the store will offer a wide range of merchandise featuring SEGA's popular games and characters, including limited-edition items created especially for Osaka.
The store itself is designed to be more than just somewhere to buy merchandise. Variable lighting and huge transparent double-sided LED screens will create an immersive space where SEGA's characters and worlds become part of the surroundings, combining technology, entertainment, and Japanese pop culture.
SEGA is also using the lead-up to the opening to introduce its new Osaka home to the city. Through the #SonicOsakaCultureExperience project, Sonic will visit different corners of Osaka and experience everything from football and local food to the city's famous comedy culture. The campaign includes collaborations with Gamba Osaka, TV Osaka, and Yoshimoto Kogyo.
For international visitors, the new store adds another stop to Osaka's growing collection of pop-culture attractions, particularly for fans of Japanese gaming. With Shinsaibashi already one of the city's major shopping and entertainment districts, it should be an easy addition to an Osaka itinerary.
SEGA STORE OSAKA opens October 2, 2026, with opening hours currently scheduled for 10am to 8pm.
