Stationery lovers visiting Tokyo are going to have a new destination to add to their itinerary. Rainbowholic Stationery Land opens in Komagome from August 15, 2026, transforming the concept of a stationery shop into something closer to a stationery theme park.
The new store is the next chapter for Rainbowholic, which previously operated a Stationery Cafe in Jujo. With more than 650,000 followers across social media and a customer base that has included visitors from around the world, the new Komagome location has been designed to give stationery fans more space to browse, discover, and actually use their finds.
The store is divided into six themed areas, including Washi Wonderland, filled with more than 100 original masking tape designs, and Sticker Square, where shoppers can browse more than 300 types of limited-edition stickers available exclusively at the store. There are also Japanese stationery and souvenirs at Little Japan, character goods at Trinket Town, train-themed items at Rainbow Station, and the Journaling Nook.
The Journaling Nook is particularly appealing for travelers who want to do more than simply buy souvenirs. After purchasing at least one item, visitors can use stamps, stickers, masking tape, and other stationery to create their own journal pages and decorations. There's also a community journal where visitors can leave messages, illustrations, and memories from their visit.
A stamp rally gives visitors another reason to explore the different areas, while future workshops, events, artist collaborations, and seasonal activities are also planned.
Located just a two-minute walk from the East Exit of Komagome Station on the JR Yamanote Line, Rainbowholic Stationery Land should be an easy addition to a Tokyo itinerary. For anyone who considers browsing Japanese stationery part of the fun of visiting Japan, this could be one shopping stop that's very hard to leave empty-handed.
