Ice cream and warm-weather go hand in hand, and a limited-time afternoon tea in Yokohama is leaning fully into the season’s most indulgent flavors. This year, the waterfront restaurant at Art Grace Portside Villa will host the “Bayside Summer Afternoon Tea with Häagen-Dazs,” a dessert experience packed with tropical fruits, seaside-inspired sweets, and premium ice cream creations.
Held at Ristorante Mangiare Water Edge YOKOHAMA, the seasonal menu combines Häagen-Dazs ice cream with summer fruits including peach, melon, mango, pineapple, and dragon fruit. The presentation embraces a beach resort theme, with desserts designed to resemble seashells, ocean waves, and even sandals left on the sand.
Among the standout sweets is a beach-inspired verrine layered with blue jelly and crumble alongside rich vanilla ice cream, as well as a seashell-shaped macaron sandwich filled with Häagen-Dazs Cookies & Cream ice cream. Other desserts include peach mousse, melon cake, a pineapple and passion fruit tart topped with a lifebuoy decoration, and a refreshing shikwasa jelly paired with mango and dragon fruit.
The savory menu balances the sweetness with dishes inspired by tropical vacations, including a loco moco-style burger, garlic shrimp, and a Tasmanian salmon and mango lomi lomi salad.
Guests can also add the “Tropical Sunset Parfait with Häagen-Dazs,” an eye-catching layered dessert featuring citrus jelly, coconut blancmange, passion fruit mango sauce, pineapple, peach compote, coconut meringue, and vanilla ice cream.
Afternoon tea sets are served with free-flow Mariage Frères teas, herbal teas, coffee, and soft drinks. Plans including sparkling wine are also available.
The event runs from June 16th to September 13th, 2026, with reservations required. Weekday plans start from 5,300 JPY per person, while weekend and holiday pricing starts from 6,300 JPY, including tax and service charge.
