Outdoor lovers heading to Ishikawa this autumn can look forward to the return of HAKUSAN OUTDOOR FES, a two-day festival bringing together music, food, nature and outdoor activities at the foot of Mt. Hakusan.

Following its first event in 2025, which attracted around 7,000 visitors, the festival returns to Ichirino Park and HITOYAMA Campground in Hakusan City on September 12 and 13. Admission to the main festival is free, making it an easy option for travelers looking to experience the area's natural surroundings.

Music will be a major part of the weekend, with artists including Schadaraparr, bird and Anna Takeuchi performing across the festival's CHILL MUSIC STAGE. Visitors can also browse outdoor brands, check out campervans and try hands-on activities. A mobile zoo featuring animals such as rabbits, goats and owls will be set up at HITOYAMA, while families can enjoy a kids' park and a small-dog-only dog run.

For a different view of the area, the Ichirino gondola will operate specially for the event, carrying visitors up to a mountaintop station at an altitude of 1,050 meters.

Food is another highlight, with local mountain dishes including wild game rice bowls alongside food trucks, snacks, sweets and drinks.

The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Parking costs 2,000 JPY per vehicle per day, with advance-purchase parking available for 1,000 JPY.
