This photo story is to guide you step-by-step as you explore Eiheiji Temple in Fukui, the Zen temple of 'Eternal Peace'. The seventh guide focuses on 'Butsuden (Buddha Hall)', the main building of the seven important temple buildings of Eiheiji. It was rebuilt in 1902 in the 'Sung-dynasty' style and at the main alter there are three Buddha statues of the Three Times in life: left to right, Amida Butsu (past), Shakyamuni Butsu (present), and Miroku Bosatsu (future). Located in the center of Eiheiji grounds, a simple yet majestic view of the building takes your breath away.
