FamilyMart is getting seriously cute this February. To celebrate Cat Day on the 22nd, the convenience store chain is rolling out its annual "Family Meow Operation!" campaign, bringing a lineup of 17 cat-themed treats, snacks, and everyday items to stores nationwide from February 10th, 2026.

Now in its fourth year, the wildly popular campaign has been breaking sales records annually, tapping into Japan's growing "nekonomics" trend and the ever-expanding love for all things feline. This year's theme is all about celebrating cats' charm with adorable designs and fun packaging that make each item as fun to look at as it is to eat.

Leading the lineup are collaboration products with the beloved cat illustration brand mofusand, known for its fluffy, slightly surreal characters. Standout sweets include a strawberry and chocolate "Paw Tart" topped with mousse shaped like a cat's paw, chewy mofusand waffles filled with custard cream, and twin cat-face manju buns with caramel-flavored filling. Shoppers can also find paw-shaped sweet potato treats, cat-shaped cookies, and a soft mochi dorayaki stamped with a paw print.

The campaign also introduces first-time collaborations with popular snacks like Hi-Chew and Ninja Meshi Hagane, reimagined with cat-inspired flavors, shapes, and packaging. Even everyday items get a feline makeover, from cat-themed iced tea packaging to bread designed to resemble a striped cat tail filled with caramel cream. There's even a special Kuroneko omelet created in collaboration with Yamato Transport featuring cocoa omelet dough, crunchy cream filling, and a cat-shaped biscuit.

Beyond the cute snacks, customers can collect stamps through the FamiPay app for a chance to win exclusive mofusand prizes, receive original charms with select purchases, and even participate in a pet food drive supporting rescue cats. A portion of sales from selected products will also be donated to animal welfare initiatives.
